It started with a shared love for the outdoors…

Ryan and Meghan have always felt most like themselves outside, camping under the stars, hiking mountain trails, and finding quiet moments far from the noise. When they began dreaming about their wedding day, they knew a traditional setting wouldn’t tell their story. Instead, they chose an adventurous elopement that reflected the way they live, explore, and love together.

The journey mattered just as much as the destination.

For their elopement wedding, Meghan and Ryan planned a hike up a mountain to one of their favourite locations. They carefully packed everything into their backpacks, including a wedding dress, suit, jewelry, and even a bouquet of flowers. Along the trail, other hikers passed them with curious smiles, intrigued by the couple carrying florals and wedding attire toward the summit.

At the top, everything slowed down.

Surrounded by towering rock and open sky, they changed into their wedding attire high above the world below. With the wind moving gently around them and the mountains stretching into the distance, the moment felt intentional and deeply personal, exactly what they had imagined for their elopement wedding.

Then came the first look…

Meghan made her way up onto the rocks, revealing her dress as Ryan turned to see her for the first time. The mountain stood still around them as they took each other in, sharing a quiet and emotional moment together.

Their love filled the space around them.

They shared gentle embraces and laughter, fully present with one another. This wedding day was not about performance or timelines, but about connection, joy, and choosing each other in a place that already held so much meaning.

From their outfits to the small pieces they carried with them up the mountain, each detail reflected the care they put into this elopement wedding. Thoughtfully chosen and brought all that way, these details helped shape a moment that felt meaningful, personal, and true to them.

As the sun dipped lower, we explored the landscape together, capturing wedding and elopement photos as warm light poured across the peaks. The mountains glowed behind them, and everything felt soft, calm, and fleeting.

Night fell over the city below.

As day turned to night, a full moon rose over the Vancouver skyline, with the city lights twinkling in the distance. Meghan held a lantern that glowed softly in the dark, adding a quiet and cinematic ending to their elopement wedding.
